Ealing Civic Society Awards Plaque – Ada Lovelace

Ada Lovelace – daughter of Lord Byron (1815-1852) lived in Fordhook, near Ealing Common as a young woman.  A mathematician, writer and possibly the first computer programmer. We are proud to have her Ealing Civic Society plaque on our building which was unveiled by the Earl of Lytton (direct descendent) at the Town Hall in 2019.
